What separates us at Outspoken from a great deal of other health practitioners is our drive to understand the ‘Why’.
What are the contributing factors within your lifestyle that are driving you away, instead of toward, optimal performance? Just as much as you, we want to avoid the ‘revolving door’ syndrome, and are not interested in patch-fixing. Without understanding the contributing factors, progress can be slow, partial, and/or incomplete.
The definition of insanity is to do the same thing over and over again expecting a different result, therefore in order to end up with a different result there needs to be change.
During your initial consultation we’ll take an ‘inventory’ on the stress parameters that surround your life – the physical, chemical, and mental/emotional. We’ll discover all the good things you are currently doing which are already helping you, and other things which could be improved upon which are holding you back from performing the way you want to be.
The road to your health goal(s) is entirely in your control.
Everyone’s path is paved differently. If you chose not to make changes, or feel you are unable to for whatever reason, it is entirely fine by us. We only go to this length to give you all the tools to help you achieve your health goals as fast as possible!
What we want in life is to ensure that our lifestyle stressors are positively geared. In that way we will always be evolving toward the higher functioning level of life’s spectrum. When things are negatively geared, evolution becomes tough. The human body loves to evolve; hence we are faced with a lot of the same obstacles in life until we overcome them.
Our goal is to make that journey as smooth as possible, and to move you from a paradigm of simply ‘surviving’ in life to one of ‘thriving’ – because there is a major difference!
What chiropractors are concerned with primarily is the delicate nervous system which is housed within your spine. The nervous system forms the control centre of the body. Its job is to read what’s going on within the environment, both internally and externally, and to respond to that in the most appropriate and correct way possible. When there is interference in this communication pathway, messages can be exaggerated, misread, or lost altogether.
Made simple, think of your nervous system as your brain-body connection.
What separates the people, who are thriving instead of just surviving, is the balance and integrity within their system. The ability of the body to understand what it needs to do, at precisely the right time and place, in order to cope with the stress or demands we place upon it.
There are six trillion chemical reactions occurring in the body at any given second and as you would imagine there is a huge amount of co-ordination required.
- Digestion: is it starting within the mouth as it should to reduce the stress on larger organs further into the digestive tract, the stomach, intestines, and pancreas? Are these organs functioning as they should? Are you able to digest your food efficiently and effectively?!
- Respiration: are you able to activate your diaphragm effectively & entirely to ensure the full exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide thus ensuring optimal energy levels.
- Hormonal release: is your body able to know what messengers to send in order to start certain processes –e.g. hunger, sleep, and arousal. Are they sent at precisely the right time, or in the right amount?
These are but to name a minute few. Every process in the body runs at a far more optimal level when interference is removed from your nervous system.
